You can take the ferry from Blaye to the Medoc and visit the beautiful wine regions including St Emilion, Cotes de Bourg and Cote de Blaye.

The charming town of  Jonzac, just 20 minutes drive,  sits on natural springs well-known for cures.  there is a large leisure complex, Les Antilles de Jonzac, which includes a swimming lagoon with slides, cascades and a wavepool.   There are also artificial indoor and outdoor beaches, tropical gardens ,a fitness suite, beauty salon and a restaurant.  Jonzac is also famous for its thermal cures, having thermal springs.
